The internet is a great place to shop for bargains. I really like ebay and I have good success with the majority of my purchases. There have been times, however, I have not been happy with a purchase but for the most part I have always been satisfied. The sellers are eager to receive positive feedback from their buyers and really try to make the whole experience a good one.
Recently I was able to purchase 3 summer dresses for approximately $20.00 each. Their original cost at Dillard's Department store was over $130.00. The sellers listed the dresses for auction at a price higher than I was willing to pay. I noticed a couple of the dresses I liked did not have any bids, so I emailed the seller and offered to buy the dress at my price if they did not sell at the auction price. Two different sellers agreed to list the item as a "Buy Now" after the auction ended and I was able to purchase what I wanted at he price I wanted. How great is that?
Many times I have purchased expensive suits from ebay at a very reasonable price. I shop for brands and sizes I know fit me. I don't like the inconvenience of returning an item that might not work for me.
Another way I have saved money is through the cash back offers I receive through the bank. From my online banking site I enter the site of the merchant I want to buy from, Walmart for example, and the bank provides me with cash back, anywhere from 1-3 %. Not a bad deal at all! Think of the gas I save by not driving around to the stores.
When needing to purchase some particular item, I find out what it usually sells for and then I start looking for it
online.
I like saving money. I like the feeling of not wasting valuable resources. That attitude carries over to other areas of my life as well. I don't like wasting time any more than I like wasting money. Time and money are precious. I am committed to spend wisely.
Being frugal does not mean I have a feeling of lack, to the contrary, being frugal means I respect and appreciate what I do have and that I am a good steward of my resources.
Confucius say,
"When prosperity comes, do not use all of it."
